After completing his studies in administration, Charles joined the family business, which is dedicated to inspection and expertise in the real estate sector.

In 2011, he joined a national firm specializing in claims adjustment expertise and became part of DBA in 2016.

Since October 2022, Charles has taken on the presidency of the firm, overseeing its growth and the development of its potential by implementing innovative solutions for clients. He builds on his prior experience as a claims adjuster during which he contributed to the implementation and restructuring of insurance programs, particularly in the fields of professional liability, construction, and for various distributors and manufacturers.

Francis completed a degree in law and is a member of the Barreau du Québec. With extensive experience in private practice, he joined DBA’s management team over 15 years ago, where he plays a key role in the organization’s growth and exposure.

Known for his exceptional ability to develop business opportunities and cultivate client relationships, Francis specializes in handling complex cases, particularly those involving direct damages and civil liability. He also manages mandates for institutional accounts, providing his clients with strategic and operational expertise.

After several years working as a litigation attorney, primarily in the areas of insurance law, civil liability, and professional liability, Sophie joined DBA’s team of claims adjusters and the management team of the liability sector. This is a career extension that led her to handle complex investigative mandates.

Notably, she manages national accounts and handles claims affecting various types of businesses, including those in the fields of technology and IT products, media, as well as claims related to the Directors and Officers liability. Her training in pharmacology also enables her to understand the specific aspects of liability files in the healthcare sector.

After completing his law studies at Université de Sherbrooke, where he jointly received an award from the Barreau du Québec for the highest overall average, Jean-Philippe began his career as a lawyer in a Sherbrooke firm specialized in municipal and commercial law. He joined our team in 2018 as a claims adjuster. He draws on his expertise in legal analysis and investigative techniques in litigation contexts to address the key issues in every file entrusted to him.

Jean-Philippe also acts as a resource person for our team while personally managing cases with significant legal or factual complexity. These include property damage claims, major losses, civil liability cases, and insurance policies with higher risk exposure.

Philippe holds several university degrees in environmental engineering, law and politics, as well as a postgraduate degree in environmental auditing.

Over the past few years, he has been actively involved in the insurance community and has conducted numerous training sessions on environmental issues within the industry. Joining the team in 2024, he has enabled us to continue our growth and to stand out through innovation in a constantly evolving market.

Philippe has renowned experience in the environmental sector dating back to 2002. He started his career as a technician and then as a project manager. From 2016 to 2024, Philippe worked as a professional forensic technologist and participated in several major environmental projects.

Martine has been a part of our team since 1986 and has been working as a claims adjuster since 1991.

She is recognized by insurers for the extensive experience she has gained in the field of automobile insurance, both for personal and commercial lines, and mainly applies her skills to automobile claims that are specific and/or complex.

Insurers acknowledge her experience and assign her files that require thorough investigations, trusting that she will complete her assignments professionally, with precision, diligence, and impartiality.

After several years working as a paralegal in the legal affairs department of a municipality, Marie-Claude completed her law studies and worked as a lawyer specializing in civil and family law at a private firm, before joining our team of claims adjusters in 2020.

She primarily handles claims related to civil and professional liability, including several files from Special Investigation Units (SIU).

Marie-Claude carries out her work with professionalism, attention to detail, and objectivity. Her legal expertise and communication skills are valuable assets for carrying out the assignments entrusted to her, allowing her to build strong relationships with insurers.

Pierre has been working in the industry for nearly 20 years and joined our firm in 2007. He manages substantial claim files in commercial property insurance. His professional journey has allowed him to acquire extensive expertise in major and challenging claims, particularly fire-related ones.

Annie has been a passionate claims adjuster since 2008. She became part of the DBA team in 2021, and is currently pursuing her CIP certification. She is known for her professionalism, empathy, and her ability to guide clients through complex and often challenging situations. Her meticulous and human approach make her a trusted ally and a valued collaborator.

With over 15 years of experience, Annie is dynamic, determined, and committed to her craft. She specializes in the assessment and settlement of civil liability claims, and has a particular fondness for bodily injury, major losses, and national accounts files.

Depuis 2017, Alexis oeuvre en tant qu’expert en sinistres, mettant à profit ses connaissances techniques et son expertise dans le domaine de l’assurance. Reconnu pour sa rigueur et son sens du détail, Alexis s’est joint à l’équipe de DBA en 2024. Il propose un accompagnement personnalisé aux assurés, qu’ils soient commerciaux ou du secteur agricole. Il privilégie une approche humaine et professionnelle, visant à simplifier les démarches tout en garantissant un traitement précis et adapté pour chaque réclamation.

Claudine is a claims adjuster who specializes in transport-related claims. She joined the DBA team in 2019. Her many years of experience in assessing and managing claims have enabled her to distinguish herself through her thorough and dedicated approach with the insureds. Passionate about her profession, she takes a personalized approach to each file, constantly seeking to offer solutions tailored to specific needs.

Her keen sense of organization, availability, and ability to handle delicate situations make her a reliable and proactive claims adjuster, skilled at turning challenges into opportunities.

Since 2022, Adèle has worked as a claims adjuster, specializing in personal insurance claims.

Her role is to guide insureds through what are often challenging times, providing consistent support throughout the process. Adèle is dedicated to understanding each insured’s unique needs, thoroughly assessing damages, and offering equitable and straightforward solutions.

Brigitte is a dynamic professional with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. With many years of experience in the healthcare and customer service fields, she has always displayed a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

She works primarily in automobile claims management, handling files for both individual and commercial customers.

Her career has been marked by a strong sense of organization and an ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of quality. Her methodical approach, even in complex situations, enables her to offer an impeccable customer experience and makes her a highly appreciated professional in her field.

Gabriel joined the DBA team in 2023 as a claims adjuster, after an eight-year career in the field of translation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Modern Languages from Université Laval and a DESS in Translation from Université de Montréal. For several years, he also worked as a field technician sampling concrete in connection with pyrrhotite issues.

He mainly handles property damage and civil liability cases for personal and commercial lines, in French, English and Spanish.

Emmanuelle is passionate about learning and continuous improvement. Her career path reflects her curiosity and ability to adapt to new challenges.

She first honed her practical skills and work ethic in the agricultural field. Later, by completing a college degree in visual arts, she developed a keen eye for detail.

While pursuing her studies, Emmanuelle worked in customer service, where she strengthened essential skills in communication, interpersonal management, and problem-solving.
In May 2023, driven by a desire to take on new challenges, she decided to make a career transition to the insurance industry, specializing in handling auto claims.

With five years of experience in the auto body and appraisal field, Josée joined the DBA team in 2023. This new career opportunity allowed her to stay within the automotive industry while approaching claims from a different perspective, broadening her expertise and skill set.

An accomplished professional, Josée is always focused on meeting the needs of the insureds.

Marie-Claude began her career in the insurance industry in 2012 as an administrative assistant. Passionate about the field, she deepened her knowledge and earned her claims adjuster certification in 2018.

In 2024, she began contributing as Executive Assistant at DBA, playing a key role in supporting operations and overseeing the implementation of various company projects. She draws on her experience as a claims adjuster and administrative assistant to collaborate closely with multiple departments. Through her adaptability and diverse skill set, Marie-Claude contributes to organizational efficiency and the firm’s growth, all while managing claims for various insurers.

Catherine earned her professional diploma in secretarial studies in 2001. From that point on, she began working as an assistant in law firms specializing, mainly, in family law, criminal law, civil law, and juvenile law. Since 2014, Catherine has been part of our support team.

Suzie has been part of our support team as an assistant since 2019. Through her 20 years’ experience as a legal assistant, she understands the team’s needs and applies her knowledge. As a result, she provides valuable support in producing texts. Suzie is currently studying translation at the Université du Québec in Trois-Rivières, with a view to adding value to her work and meeting the needs of English-speaking clients.

With many years of experience as an administrative assistant in both the public and private sectors, Hélène holds a college degree in Office Systems Technology and has completed several university courses in English literature. She began her career in human resources and has worked in various provinces.

She later developed an interest in the field of disability insurance before joining a claims adjustment firm. Hélène contributes to the quality of reports at DBA owing to her strong interest in writing and translation.
